Technology

We have been going to Moerewa for Technology.  It’s when we learnt to cook and build. The year eights do cooking and the year sevens do building. When we first started we wrote the rules and about what I learnt. I made a hook. The machine that I used to make it was called a skill saw. It’s very hard to use because you have to move  the wood into the saw. When it goes into the skill saw it gets cut. It was hard to use because when I tried to turn the wood I had to push it forward slowly. We are now learning how to make a metal necklace.

Oral Hygiene

In Te Ngahere two ladies named Ulrike and Chantelle came to teach us how to keep our teeth healthy.
I learnt that whenever you don’t brush your teeth at night you have no saliva in your mouth and I found
out why you always have saliva in your mouth is because you normally see food during the day so that is
how you have saliva in your mouth. Ulrike had a type of toothpaste that made your teeth go blue and
then once you rinse your mouth with water it would show different colors like baby blue, purple and
pink. This indicates how much plaque is on your teeth and how old it is. I learnt heaps about Oral
Hygiene.

We were going to finish our identity project we first made trees on tinkercad. Because Te Ngahere means the bush so we made up a forest of different trees. Whaea Monka made a pinecone tree for a example  Whaea Monka made a pine tree. When we completed that task we made what might be in the Ngahere. Like birds, insects, trees, and rivers on paint 3d to make the insects and birds.I enjoyed having fun with my friends teachers and the people that took us around the place. Here are some videos about what we created
