Pet day

In Te Maunga on Friday the 9th of November we had pet day.  There were guinea pigs, cats, dogs, rabbits and crayfish. On that day we also did other activities like our A&P poster, vaseline saucer and  biscuit decorating. After the pet show we had a sausage sizzle, juicies and cake stall so we can raise more money for Te Nagheres camp.

Water safetey

A few weeks ago we had a lesson with a lady Tracy we learnt how to keep ourselves safe around the water.
If you can’t swim well then I would swim in a pool. If you are swimming in the ocean then there are two
things that you should bring if you want to have fun and keep safe. The two things are a bodyboard, adult,
that is the two things that you bring with you. If you are going on a boat wear a life jacket.

Flubber

In the class we have been making flubber we had to yous. four cups of borax, four and a half cups of water, food colour, four cups of pva glue, Then we had to mix it all together, hot water, spoons, bowl. That was our maths problem solving and it was really tricky my job was to put the food colouring in the bowl. Our problem was that we put to much water so we had to put more glue.

Te Reo,

In class we have been doing Te Reo for fruit, class objects, stuff in a kitchen and diner and we had to eat some fruit, pepper, salt and different stuff. We all had to decide if it was sweet or sour and my favorite was the lemon. We learnt this with Whaea Lisa and the maori words for sour or sweet were He tino reka and He tino kawa.
